Advanced Three Gun – 5 days
This course is designed for the person already possessing basic combat rifle, pistol and shotgun skills. Each of our defensive rifle, pistol and shotgun courses are ideal prerequisites but not mandatory. You will be asked for your experience/background on your application. We take your word for it. However, if you do not possess the necessary fundamentals to safely succeed in this advanced course, the remainder of the class will not be held up for your remediation. In fact, if you are of such a beginner level as to be unsafe, you will be asked to leave and will forfeit your fee.
In this course you will learn:
- A very quick (half-day) review of the material covered in the basic courses
- Advanced individual tactics
- CQB and Team Tactics
- Weapon Retention
- CQB Stances
- Shooting on the Move
- Low light shooting
- One handed shooting techniques
- and probably more
Equipment required:
• Pistol of .38 caliber or better with belt, holster and at least three spare magazines with magazine pouches
• Combat style shotgun (18" barrel recommend) with sling
• Carbine type rifle, any semi-auto: CAR, AR, MP5, MP40 or equivalent with sling, and Four 20 or 30 round magazines with pouches
• Ammunition Needed
• Pistol – 750 rounds
• Rifle – 1500 rounds of service equivalent ammo
• Shotgun - 250 rounds of "00" buck, 100 rounds of slugs and 25 rounds of birdshot
- Ear and Eye (dark & clear glasses) protection
- Elbow & knee pads
- Integral Weapon Lights or Combat Flashlight (like Surefire)
- Sunscreen
- Jacket and/or rain gear
- Hat with visor
- Some form of hydration system – Camel Back Recommended
