Basic Defensive Carbine - 2 days
This course is designed for the person looking for the basic skills of combat style carbine. If you do not already own a AR15/M16 Style carbine, contact us for recommendations.
In this course you will learn:
- fundamental rifle marksmanship
- safety
- introduction to carbine mounting
- loading and unloading
- ways of carry with a sling
- carbine equipment and accessories
- introduction to three shooting positions
- shooting on the move
- turning movements.

Equipment required:
- Carbine type rifle, any semi-auto: CAR, AR, MP5, MP40 or equivalent with sling
- Carbine ammunition (minimum 1500 rounds of service equivalent ammo)
- Four 20 or 30 round magazines with pouches
- Pistol of .38 caliber or better
- Belt and holster
- Pistol ammunition (minimum 100 rounds)
- Minimum three pistol magazines
- Eye protection (dark & clear glasses)
- Ear protection
- Flashlight
- Sunscreen
- Jacket and/or rain gear
- Hat with visor
- Hydration Gear (Camelback, etc.) It gets very hot in the desert in the summer.
