Basic Defensive Pistol- 2 days
This course is for the beginner who has had some basic experience with guns or the experienced shooter looking for basic combat pistol skills. This two-day course will familiarize you with the handgun you are using and under professional instruction give you a working knowledge of basic combat skills. By the end of the course you will be able to use your weapon safely and be able to attain a basic level of marksmanship and combat skill.
If you do not already own a pistol you should contact us for recommendations.
In this course you will learn:
- Fundamentals of marksmanship
- Safety
- Proper draw from the holster
- Loading and unloading
- Combat and tactical loading and unloading
- Malfunctions, shooting positions
- Shooting on the move
- Turning and tactical movements
- And probably much more
Equipment required:
• Pistol of .38 caliber or better
• Belt and holster
• Ammunition (minimum 750 rounds)
• Minimum three magazines
• Eye protection (dark & clear Ear protection, glasses)
• Elbow & knee pads
• Sunscreen
• Jacket and/or rain gear
• and a Hat with a visor.
• Hydration Gear (Camelback, etc.) It gets very hot in the desert in the summer.
