Women's Personal Protection – 2 Day or 8, 2 hour sessions.
This course is designed for the novice female who refuses to be a victim! It is an introductory handgun course only. All training during this phase will be done with gas operated Airsoft pistols—e.g. no live ammunition will be used. Upon completion, the lady will be competent to join any of our live firearms training courses. Here is a sampling of the topics covered.
- General Violent Crime Statistics
- Creating a Defense Plan
- Tactical Awareness: Victim vs. Survivor - Your choice! How to Avoid Attacks - ATMs, car jacking, robberies, rape, stalking, etc.
- Combat Mindset, Mental Toughness—How to manage your fears.
- Psychological Profile of Attackers - Psychology of violence, tactical considerations and the interview concept.
- Non-lethal options and improvised weaponry of self-defense
- Home Security
- Physical Self-Defense - Basic Strikes, Kicks, Blocks, and Ground Fighting
Equipment Required:
- Athletic gear (shorts, sweat suit, etc and chest protector) for combatives portion
- Airsoft pistol with adequate holster
- Paintball protective mask
- Long sleeved sweat shirt
- Long trousers
- Gloves
- Balaclava or scarf to protect the neck area
- Some form of hydration system—e.g. Camelback, etc.
This is a 16-hour course: Cost $350.00. Deposit $175.00.
For local residents, there will be a two-hour cyclical class held each Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at our facility in Alpine, TX. Out of town ladies will need to consult the training schedule for dates for the two-day course.
